THE CONVERSATION

For writing your characters, you know, you have the brothers and they're both like in high school-ish. Was it hard for you to write high school age? Because like some of the stuff that you wrote about where it was like the pranking or whatever like did- was that something that would happen in school here or was that completely something that you would just- that you just thought of?

The Sniper? Yeah, that happened. Not to me, but usually the kids that transferred in, yeah. We, I don't know, we lived a wild childhood, I don't know. Our upperclassmen would beat us, and it was basically nothing you could do, but they would also like look out for you too, so was kind of like.

I don't know, my high school class, I graduated with 42 people and it's like, we're so vastly different, but because we grew up in such a small area and we were always together, they're almost all like family in a way. Like I care about pretty much everybody the same. It just, yeah, they're just, you go through everything together when there's only 42 of you. that's like, all the high schoolers in the county. That's it.
